Description: USS Shaw (DD-373) was a Mahan-class destroyernamed for CaptainJohn Shaw, a naval officer. USS Shaw sustained major damage from several bomb hits during the attack on Pearl Harbor in Hawaii on December 7, 1941. The explosion of her forward magazine provided one of the most iconic photographs of the attack.
